I am here from the beginning when it all started with making first collars on the kitchen table. I founded Renard Leather and I take care of our product portfolio, marketing and manufacturing.
FOXY, Co-founder & Dog model
Foxy helped Klara to found Renard Leather brand in 2021. She is responsible for quality control and she is the main dog model for our products. She also provides customer service when you pick up your order in person.
Hi, my name is Klara and I am a founder of Renard Leather brand.
Design and manual labour have always fascinated me. As a little girl I would often “help” my brother with woodworking. Even though I got in the way of his work most of the time, he sparked in me this love for working and building with my hands. The ability to create a concept and follow it through to the final product is a feeling like no other. I love simple things in life and I believe that it is reflected in my work as well. All my designs are very simple and clean.
My passion for horses has accompanied me since I was a child and thanks to my family I was able to dedicate my life to them. As a rider and breeder I know what I expect from horse equipment in terms of craft, quality and functionality. That is also where my focus lies while making leather goods of my own.
The story of Renard Leathercraft surprisingly begins with my dog, a Jack Russel Terrier named Foxy, after which I named my brand – Renard means fox in French. I started to make collars and leashes especially for her which eventually led to halters and horse tack.

MATERIALS
All of our buckles and other hardware are made of solid brass or stainless steel. These materials have been carefully selected for their durability and resistance to rust and corrosion, which is especially important for water-loving dogs and horses in general.
All of our leather edges are beveled, burnished, and dyed. This prevents the edges from fraying over time, making our products more comfortable for your animal´s skin and they feel more softer to the touch.
QUALITY
At Renard Leathercraft we are proudly using only the best materials to produce top-quality halters, bridles, collars, leashes and other accessories for you and your animals that are built to last a lifetime.
We use premium cowhide from local supplier, which carries the natural features and character of the leather while maintaining as much strength as possible. As the leather ages, it will patina beautifully, giving the product a unique character – a personality – just as unique as your four-legged friend.
